The forest was just waking up, and among the first wildflowers to appear were the Wild Geraniums—their delicate, translucent petals collecting tiny droplets of rain. They felt both fragile and strong, quietly announcing the season’s return. That day reminded me how grounding it can be to pause and look closely—to let curiosity guide your attention.
Geranium maculatum. Native to eastern North America, this woodland perennial blooms in soft pink and lavender hues, thriving in open woods and shaded meadows. Its five-petaled flowers and divided leaves are a gentle sign of renewal each spring.
